XXXIII Costa Gaia Roma straripante vince titolo. Una categoria va al Palermo

La Roma con un perentorio 5 a 0 batte la Sampdoria e si aggiudica il 33° Trofeo Costa Gaia e la Conad Cup. I giallorossi hanno piegato i blucerchiati grazie alla rete di Belmonte, la doppietta di Cinti e gli altri gol di Morucci e Cama. Belmonte si è anche giudicato il trofeo Giovanni Torregrossa, premio che viene assegnato a chi realizza la prima rete della finale. Il ruolino di marcia è stato impressionate: in tutto il torneo i giovani under 14 hanno siglato ben 65 reti subendone soltanto 3. Ex-aequo al terzo posto Genoa, che ha vinto anche il premio “Fair Play – Sergio Asta” e AGA Messina. Netto successo in finale anche nella categoria “esordienti 2008”. Il Palermo, dopo un primo tempo in perfetto equilibrio, ha dilagato infliggendo un ampio 4 a 0 al Castelvetrano (reti di Cipriano e Nicolosi, doppietta di Castelli). Sul podio anche Il calcetto Palermo e Adelkam. Finale in famiglia fra i “pulcini 2009”. Risultato di 1 a 1 senza vincitori né vinti fra Buon Pastore e Calcio Sicilia, due società che appartengono allo stesso gruppo dirigenziale. I due club si sono imposti anche nella categoria “Anteprima 2009”. Terzo e quarto posto, nel torneo “elite”, per Monreale e Adelkam, Gli altri tioli sono andati al Calcio Sicilia (Anteprima 2010 e Anteprima 2012) e all’Accademia Sport Trapani (Anteprima 2011). Quest’ultima finale merita spazio per le tantissime emozioni che ha regalato: 3 a 0 per i trapanesi, poi 4 a 3 per il Calcio Sicilia, quindi il pareggio allo scadere e i rigori necessari ad assegnare il primo posto. Una storia particolare, invece, quella della piccolissima Loredana De Simone che prima ha firmato il 2 a 0 della sua squadra, l’Accademia Sport, nella finale “Anteprima 2012” e poi ha sbagliato d’un soffio il rigore decisivo permettendo al Calcio Sicilia di conquistare il trofeo. Alla premiazione di questa mattina erano presenti il vice-sindaco e l’assessore allo sport del Comune di Alcamo, Vittorio Ferro e Giuseppe Campo, il consigliere comunale alcamese Saverio Messana e l’ex calciatore di Juventus e Napoli, Leandro Rinaudo. Il 33° Trofeo Costa Gaia, organizzato dall’Adelkam, ha registrato anche una parentesi dedicata ai “giovanissimi 2005” e disputatasi cin collaborazione con il comune di San Vito Lo Capo. A primeggiare è stata l’Adelkam davanti a Il Calcetto Palermo. Anche l’edizione 2020 del torneo giovanile si è contraddistinta per la solidarietà. Da un sorteggio e da altre donazioni di pubblico e dirigenti presenti alla manifestazione, sono stati raccolti 2.000 euro in favore dell’associazione “A Piccoli Passi” che si occupa dei ragazzi autistici e del sostegno alle loro famiglie.
